Dry, Sensitive and Weak Hair

Dry hair is not elastic, it easily breaks and, as its scales are open, it is rough, porous, dull and charged with static electricity. The Causes can be:

Physiopathologic: disorders in the blood circulation, disorder in the sebaceous secretion which does not let the scalp and the hair nourish normally. In these cases the scalp can be dry.

Hair Damage: many perms, bleaching, straightening. The negative action of the atmospheric agents. Too much heat during drying process. Degreasing shampoos or lotions which can provoke a drying (making sensitive) of the hair. In these cases the skin is normal or even greasy. Whatever the cause is, the hairdresser has to treat the hair properly, also because with dry hair even a simple hair style gives bad results. To bring dry hair back to normal it is necessary to: Nourish & Moisturize, that means to give substances which can make up for the grease and the water the hair is locking.
